Lynne
Lancaster is co-founder, with business partner David Stillman, of BridgeWorks, a company dedicated to
speaking, writing and consulting on generational issues in the workplace
and the marketplace. Lynne and David are the rare combination of a classic
Baby Boomer and an entrepreneurial Generation Xer who, together, explore
the sometimes frustrating, often hilarious, and always thought-provoking
challenges of communicating between generations.
Their keynote speeches and workshops have
received rave reviews from Fortune 500 companies and associations alike.
Lynne Lancaster is a Phi Beta Kappa,
summa cum laude graduate of the University of Minnesota. She earned her
stripes as a management consultant, coaching managers and senior
executives on communication issues. Her research on intergenerational
communication was inspired by the challenges faced by her clients in
recruiting, retaining, managing and marketing up to four generations at
once. Lynne’s work with CEO author Harvey Mackay resulted in five
best-selling business books, including Swim with the Sharks Without Being
Eaten Alive.
David
is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Madison with B.A. degrees
in Communications and Sociology. He completed the Michigan State
University Mass Media in Britain program in association with the BBC, and
went to work for ABC television as an intern for Prime Time Live. David
then embarked on a round-the-world trip that included stints as a roving
reporter for CBS radio covering major events including the end of
apartheid in South Africa and the fall of the former Soviet Union.
Upon his return to the United States,
David joined Integrated Strategies Inc. in Minneapolis as creative
director, working with such companies as 3M, American Express, Carlson
Companies, Lutheran Brotherhood, and Norwest Bank. In 1995, he started his
own firm, DAS Creative; his cutting edge work won him numerous accolades,
including the much-coveted Clio Award.
Lynne and David are co-authors of the
national best seller When Generations Collide: Who They Are. Why They
Clash. How to Solve the Generational Puzzle at Work (Harper Collins,
2002)—a lively, entertaining and savvy book available in bookstores and
online. In March, they were featured in a full-page TIME Magazine article,
and over the past few months they have appeared on CNN, CNBC and numerous
local TV and radio shows nationwide.
Note: Lynne and David may
also be hired individually.
