and best selling author Dr. John Izzo has devoted his life and career to

Dr. Izzo is the author of three books Awakening Corporate Soul and Values Shift: The New Work Ethic and
What it Means for Business, An Uncommon Life: Lessons in Living
Well (Barrett Koehler 2004) and his forthcoming book, “The Buzz
Factor: Being THE Place to Work also due out 2004. He has traveled
around the world advising, speaking and doing research on workforce
trends, positive corporate cultures and innovative leadership.
John Izzo grew up and attended school in
the fast paced city of New York. He obtained dual Master’s degrees in
Theology and Divinity from the University of Chicago and his Ph.D. from
Kent State University. He has served on the faculties of two major
universities. Fast Company, CNN, Wisdom Network, Canada- AM, ABC World
News, the Wall Street Journal and INC Magazine have featured the research
and opinions of Dr. John Izzo. He is also a frequent contributor to
Association Management Magazine.
When not paddling in a canoe on the
Pacific Ocean or playing basketball with one of his children, John spends
much of his time teaching, writing and connecting with other change
agents. He is a devoted conservationist, protecting North American’s parks
and wildlife. He is a past board member of the Sierra Club and Board
President of the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society. He resides with
his family in the mountains of Vancouver BC Canada.
