Susan Wilson Solovic, president of
Susan-Says®, is
a popular keynote speaker, seminar leader, columnist, business consultant
and author of “The Girls’ Guide to Power and Success.” Her second book,
“Reinvent Your Career: Attain the Success You Deserve and Desire,” is
scheduled for release in July of 2003.
Ms. Solovic began her professional career
as a television news anchor and reporter for NBC, CBS and PBS affiliates.
Subsequently, she joined a Fortune 100 company where she was named vice
president, director of corporate marketing, of an international
asset-based lending division. While working in an executive capacity, she
attended Saint Louis University Law School and graduated with honors. Her
legal background provides her audiences with a unique view of American
business.
She moved on to host and produce a series
of national satellite television broadcasts for business owners in the
United States and Canada and she helped to create a targeted investing
program for a national brokerage firm. She was a featured columnist with
United Press International (UPI) and currently hosts a public affairs
television program in St. Louis which airs on the ABC affiliate.
Ms. Solovic serves on the John F. Kennedy
School of Government Women’s Leadership Board at Harvard University and
was elected Assistant Secretary or the national Board of Directors for the
Women Presidents’ Organization. She also sits on the U.S. Chamber of
Commerce’s Small Business Council and is a member of the Missouri Bar
Association. In 2000, she was the recipient of the U.S. Small Business
Administration’s Region VII Media Advocate Award and she was awarded the
Columbia College Alumni Professional Achievement award -- 2002.
Ms. Solovic is a popular media guest on
radio and television programs across the country, including Business Beat,
Radio America, CNN/fn and Bloomberg News. You’ll also see her quoted as a
career expert in Cosmopolitan magazine. She teaches a women’s
entrepreneurial training program at a local college and is a facilitator
for the Women Presidents’ Organization.
